Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is an extraordinary facility designed to serve the specialized needs of women and babies in a caring, family-centered environment. Our 11-story hospital provides complete women’s care from obstetrics and highrisk births to gynecological services.
We are also home to one of the largest and most successful Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in the nation. The NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital is capable of the highest level of care for high-risk newborns, and is organized to provide highly skilled, life-saving interventions to critically ill newborns suffering from prematurity, respiratory distress, cardiac disease, congenital anomalies, multisystem organ failure and other problems. Since its establishment in 1975, the NICU has cared for more than 26,000 babies.
