Vegas Q&A: Where Should I Propose?
Question: I am coming to Vegas in August with my girlfriend, and am going to ask her to marry me. I wanted to know what sites you would recommend to do the deed at. I want it to be romantic.
Jason in Bloomington, Ill.
Answer: Hey, Jason, what a great question! I'm honored to give you my advice on the topic.
My vote for the best place to propose would be at the top of the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas. Go at night and pop the question right when the water show at the Bellagio is being performed across the street. It only costs $8 per person to go up the tower, and the Bellagio fountain show runs every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the day.
It's an amazing view that I think would be terrific for your proposal, especially if they are playing the right song with the fountain show. It will be romantic as hell.
Another option would be to take a gondola ride at the Venetian. Do the one in the front of the hotel, not the one that runs up the mall inside. You'll get a singing gondolier, and maybe you can study a few words of Italian and complete the experience! Again, I'd wait until nighttime with the lights and Strip glowing in the background.
Good luck and best wishes to both of you.
