Kentucky Couple Faces 568 Counts Of Rape

Man Accused Of Raping Relative While Wife Allegedly Took Pictures

BOSTON, Ky. -- A Kentucky couple has been charged with more than 500 counts of rape.

Police officers said that Donny Hoskinson raped a female relative repeatedly during the past several years, Louisville, Ky., television station WLKY reported Wednesday.

Deborah and Donny Hoskinson, of Boston, Ky., each face more than 500 counts of first-degree rape. Donny Hoskinson reportedly raped the girl while his wife allegedly coached the girl and took pictures, according to investigators.

"It's very difficult because it's of a sensitive nature anyway, and we try to protect the rights of the victim, of course," Kentucky State Police Trooper Steve Pavey said. "But we've got to go to the alleged perpetrators and talk to them. They have their side of the story. We just do our part by doing the investigation the best way we can."

KSP investigators said that while the Hoskinsons lived in Nelson and Bullitt counties, they sexually violated the girl several times a week over a seven-year period.

"She claims that two or three times a week, sometimes, she was forced to have sex," Pavey said.

Each is charged with 456 counts of rape in Nelson County and 112 counts in Bullitt County, WLKY reported. Investigators said the crimes began when the alleged victim was 13, and continued until she was 19.

"She's an adult now, and has come forward with these allegations," Pavey said. "We've been working on this for some time."

Pavey added that counselors currently are working with the alleged victim, WLKY reported. Investigators don't know if she is the only alleged victim of the Hoskinsons.

"This girl has said that, as far as she knows, she's the only victim," Pavey said.

The Hoskinsons weren't at their Boston home when WLKY visited there Wednesday. Neither is in custody because each currently has health problems, according to WLKY. They'll remain in custody after their initial hearings later this month.
