Guitarist Knocks Singer For Space Quest

Earlier this year, guitarist-radio host-bow hunter Ted Nugent knocked fellow rocker Ozzy Osbourne for his behavior on "The Osbournes" reality show.

Now, he's taking aim at *NSYNC singer Lance Bass for his quest to ride the Russian's Soyuz rocket to the International Space Station.

Nugent is inviting Bass to his ranch in Michigan for "only $1 million."

It's an obvious shot at Bass' money troubles with the Russian Space Agency. Bass was asked to leave the cosmonaut training center outside Moscow Tuesday because his backers have yet to come up with the $20 million fee to make the October trip.

Nugent said he'll train Bass in bow hunting before taking him on a weeklong bow hunt -- and even throw in a few guitar lessons.

Nugent said Bass needs to quit worrying about going into outer space and "embrace and celebrate life by learning how to kill his own food."

Bass said Tuesday as he left the training center that he'd "be back," and the television producer who's been helping raise the money says it's almost there. He said expects Bass to be back on the flight by the end of the week.
