Rattlesnake Bites Woman Twice At Lowe's

A 42-year-old woman was hospitalized Tuesday after being bitten twice in the leg by a Pygmy rattlesnake while at a Lowe's home improvement store, according to Local 6 News.EMS workers responded to Lowe's at the 4600 block of East Silver Springs Boulevard in Marion County, Fla., after receiving a report that someone had been bitten.Medics said the woman was moving some plants around and felt a stinging feeling in her leg, looked down and saw the rattlesnake.
She was treated for two bites to her right shin.The victim was transported to a hospital and remained in stable condition Tuesday night.The report said the dusky pygmy rattlesnake is a commonly seen snake from South Carolina to southeastern Mississippi and south to the tip of Florida.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
