Police Seek Help In Verifying Alibis Of Missing Boy's Parents

Investigators in the case of a Leesburg, Fla., toddler who vanished Sunday are asking for the public's help in verifying his parents' alibis, according to Local 6 News.Trenton Duckett, 2, was last seen in his room at 7 p.m. Sunday. His parents first noticed he was missing around 9 p.m. Leesburg police said a screen on a window in the boy's room was cut and that he was apparently taken through the opening.Tuesday, police said they were trying to confirm where the boy was before he disappeared.
"Investigators are asking the public to help verify the whereabouts of the Duckett family the day before Trenton vanished," Local 6's Mike DeForest said."We have reports of where Trenton was," Leesburg police Captain Steve Rockefeller said. "We want to get confirmation of where Trenton was. That is the need for the reconstruction."The boy's father, Josh Duckett, was videotaped standing behind police at Tuesday's news conference."I've given my whole story," Duckett said. "I've cooperated. Everything that I've been doing, and so far they are satisfied with what they found."Duckett said he performed well on a lie detector test about the case."Although he has avoided talking to the media at the request of investigators, his father said he is desperate for news about Trenton," DeForest said.The missing boy's mother, Melinda, did not attend Tuesday's news conference.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
