University Coeds Warned Of Foot Fetish Photographer

UPDATED: 4:18 pm EDT July 19, 2006

Police at the University of Texas are warning incoming freshmen coeds about a photographer asking women to photograph their feet.

Campus police said a man has approached several students, saying he is selling toe rings and would like to take photos of their feet.

The man has not broken any laws but officers issued warnings this week.

"It's not like it's anything personal, like he's invading anyone's personal life or trying to be too imposing, but it's just awkward," new student Chelsea Polk said.

The Austin campus is now flooded with freshman -- most away from home for the first time -- and being the target of a crime is now something many of them are concerned about.

Campus police said they don't think the man with the foot fetish is dangerous; he's just frightening women.
