Beekeepers were called out to a home located at 707 Broadway St. in Ocoee to remove the nearly 3-foot-long hive.

Workers who discovered the hive feared they would be stung when they stumbled upon the bees.

"I thought they would probably attack all of us, but we were all right," tree trimmer Bandon Cipollone said.

Beekeeper Dick Fullerton and his partner climbed up the tree and slowly lowered the hive down to the ground as neighbors watched.

"I think it's amazing to see a hive way up in the tree and see the process of them bringing it down its fascinating," neighbor Allison Fullerton said.

As Fullerton was moving the swarm, the hive broke.

"The thing turned over on the way down and the wax doesn't have the structure character, it just broke up we lost the swarm," Fullerton said.

No one was injured during the removal of the hive, Local 6 News reported.
