Buzzard Crashes Through Plane's Windshield, Injures Passenger

A passenger of a small plane was seriously injured over the weekend when a bird crashed through the plane's windshield near Orlando Executive Airport, according to a Local 6 News report.

Officials said two people were aboard the Cessna about 2,000 feet above ground in Orlando when a turkey buzzard slammed into the plane.

The bird hit a trainer in the face who was on board with a pilot, Local 6 News reported.

Local 6 News reported that an ambulance transported the victim to Florida Hospital South for treatment. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

The plane landed at the airport and there were no other injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
