A 22-year-old man was shot in the abdomen Wednesday during an alleged robbery plot hatched by a Central Florida stripper and two friends, according to authorities. Police said Terry Johnston, of Tampa, went to a Cocoa Beach adult entertainment club, Cheaters, located at 5450 North Atlantic Ave. early Wednesday.
At the club, Johnston said he met an exotic dancer named "Halley" who turned out to be Angel Braud, 21."Braud was performing a lap dance when she noticed a large roll of cash," Vince Ziccardi, of the Brevard County Sheriff's Department told Local 6 News partner Florida Today.Braud told her friend about the cash and they decided to come up with a plan to rob Johnston, Ziccardi said. Braud; Britta Coburn, an 18-year-old former exotic dancer; and Jourki Guerrero, 19, allegedly attempted to rob Johnston in a parking lot of the Best Western Cocoa Inn near Interstate 95. Johnston apparently fought back and was shot in the abdomen, according to the report.A short time after the shooting, a deputy arrested Guerrero, Coburn and Braud as they drove into Merritt Island. The three have been charged with armed robbery. Johnston was listed in critical condition late Wednesday. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
