Detectives released a photo Wednesday of a young girl who has been known to be with another girl sought in an ongoing case of child pornography involving a Disney hotel, according to Local 6 News.

Over the past three years, Canadian authorities have been haunted by hundreds of photographs on child pornography Web site photos showing a girl believed to be about 12 years old engaging in sex acts, Local 6 News reported.

Two months ago, authorities in Toronto, Canada released photographs showing a hotel room where some child pornography images were taken. Using computers, investigators digitally erased the girl from the photographs revealing just the background of a hotel.

Someone immediately identified the hotel as the Port Orleans Hotel at Walt Disney World.

Wednesday, authorities said a new photo may lead to a break in the case.

"Recently we obtained a photograph of a person believed to be a material witness in this case," Orange County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Kevin Beary said. "We are releasing the photograph of material witness in hopes that if a citizen can identify her it will greatly increase the chances of successfully finding identifying the perpetrator and finding the victim."

Canadian authorities have also contemplated releasing a photograph of the girl’s face, according to the report. However, police are concerned that once the photo is make public, the person who took the photographs could try to kill her.

Several photographs of the girl suggest she is from Canada or the northeastern United States and may have just been vacationing at Walt Disney World with the assailant, Local 6 News reported.
