A Central Florida doctor unveiled a new product that might end chronic pain and suffering for people suffering from migraines, depression and other ailments, according to Local 6 News.
A report that aired on May 2 showed the device helped a viewer who watched the original Problem Solvers report on The Alpha Stim.
The original report featured Jim Smith, who suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome -- a crippling grip on his hands."I was getting a lot of numbness and tingling in my wrists on up to my elbows," Smith said. "I was willing to try whatever it took to get past the carpal tunnel."Smith tried acupuncture at Dr. Anita Spitz's office in Titusville, Fla., and it seemed to work. But Spitz then then hooked him up to the Alpha Stim device and he has not had a flare up since using it.The Alpha Stim is based on micro current electrical therapy and works by moving electrons through the body and brain at a variety of frequencies collectively known as harmonic resonance. The Alpha Stim realigns the electricity in your body like a chiropractor realigns your body's skeletal structure, Local 6 News reported.Studies show it is an effective treatment for many kinds of ills.Spitz said that she's had an 80 to 90 percent success rate over four years and claims it treats depression as well as some popular drugs.Once you see a doctor-- you can purchase the Alpha Stim for about $500 and insurance will probably not cover it, according to Local 6 News.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
