A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg and back while riding in the backseat of a car following an argument with a male and female at a Daytona Beach parking garage, police said.

The teen, who lives in Ormond Beach, was struck in his right leg and back at about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday while riding in a car in the 400 block of North Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach. Ware suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the boy got into an argument at the parking garage with two people, who shortly thereafter drove up behind the boy and his friends at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle the boy was in exited the garage and drove northbound on Atlantic Avenue, and the other vehicle approached it from behind, police said. The second vehicle then drove into the outside lane and a female, who was driving, yelled something before a male fired at least six shots from a semiautomatic handgun, police said.

The vehicle the boy was in jumped a curb and stopped in the 600 block of Oakridge Boulevard, Daytona Beach police said. There were four bullet holes found in the passenger side of the vehicle, and the boy was struck twice, police said.

The assailants were described as a white female with a thin build, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 125 pounds. She was wearing a white tank top and black shorts. The other person was described as a white male with short brown hair a thin build, about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.

Police are also searching for a small or mid-sized dark-colored four-door, possibly a Honda or a Cadillac.
