TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- A woman was hospitalized on Tuesday after an unattended pan on a stove ignited a fire at a Titusville home, officials said.Trinka Daniels, 34, was transported to Parrish Medical Center with serious respiratory distress after the fire at 1095 Country Club Blvd. in Titusville.According to fire officials, an unattended pan on the stove overheated and ignited, sending thick smoke throughout the house.
Several people, including at least two young children, were home at the time of the fire, officials said. Two adults, including Daniels, suffered injuries. A 58-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation but refused to be taken to the hospital, Titusville fire officials said.Damage to the house was confined to the kitchen area, fire officials said.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
