A rescue team from SeaWorld rescued a 900-pound melon-head whale from Playalinda Beach near NASA.

The species of whale, which is normally located 30 miles off the coast, rarely beaches itself, scientists said.

Crews used a large sling, wet towels and spray bottles to move the whale off the beach.

SeaWorld's veterinarian staff examined and treated the 8-foot-long male and transported it to Gulf World in Panama City.

Officials said the whale may be the same one that washed ashore a few days ago in St. Augustine.
