A boy with a toy gun and a man robbed another man in front of his apartment on Monday, according to officials.

According to Orange County sheriff's deputies, the 26-year-old victim was standing near his Tymber Skan apartment on Inglenook Lane when he was approached by two people.

The boy, described as about 14 years old, was holding what the victim believed was a real gun and the duo took the man's wallet and cell phone, deputies said. The boy dropped the gun during the incident and the victim said he then noticed that the weapon was a toy gun, according to deputies.

The boy picked up the gun, and he and the other man, believed to be about 22 years old, fled the area.
