Search Continues For Missing Central Fla. Boy On His Birthday

POSTED: Friday, August 10, 2007
UPDATED: 10:17 am EDT August 10, 2007

A Central Florida boy who turns 3 years old Friday remains missing despite hundreds of tips and leads submitted to police and a Web site set up to find the child.

Trenton Duckett was reported missing from his home nearly a year ago.

Trenton was last seen with his mother, Melinda, while leaving her grandparents home in Lady Lake, Fla., on Aug. 26.

Melinda Ducket committed suicide shortly after his disappearance but notes she left behind gave investigators hope that Trenton was alive and possibly put on a plane to South Korea or some other overseas location.

Trenton's father, Josh, maintains www.helpfindtrenton.com, where people can offer prayers and tips in the search for the boy.

There is also a section offering ways the public can help in the search.

Family said Trenton's whereabouts is always on their minds.

"There is not a day that we don't think about him," Trenton's grandmother Carla Massero said. "We can't tell the public what it is like."

Anyone with information on case is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
