The bees were living in the inner walls of the building of the north Houston building.Officials said the size of the hive and numbers of bees inside of the walls led experts to believe the bees may have been building honeycomb for nearly a decade. It took beekeepers several hours to remove the bees from behind the wood panels. The work was done by hand without the use of insecticides."You can't be trying to put anything inside there like any chemical base and stuff like that because that's where everybody sleeps," Gotcha Pest Control's Claude Griffin said.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
