A woman in Brevard County, Fla., took extreme measures to ensure her horses would be returned if they became lost during Hurricane Jeanne, according to Local 6 News.
Rancher Renee Wallace painted phone numbers on the horses in case they were found wandering in the county or were blown away by the storm's strong winds."The number is that if they get out on the roads or the highways, they can identify them and call the number to get them picked up or if there's a death to notify the owner that there's been a problem," Wallace said. Wallace hopes she is able to take the phone numbers off the horses soon, as long as there are no more hurricanes headed to Central Florida.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
