22-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash with SUV, Orange City police say

ORANGE CITY, Fla. – A 22-year-old man died Sunday morning when the motorcycle he was riding through Orange City struck an SUV that had turned into his path, according to police.

The crash occurred around 10:14 a.m. near the intersection of Saxon Boulevard and Medical Plaza Drive, police said in a news release.

As the motorcyclist traveled eastbound on Saxon Boulevard — identified as Matthew Manzur of Deltona — a 69-year-old Deltona man driving a 2023 Mitsubishi SUV westbound on Saxon Boulevard attempted to make a left turn toward an address in the 1000 block, the news release states.

The motorcycle struck the SUV, ejecting Manzur, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release states.

The Mitsubishi driver suffered minimal injuries, police said.

Eastbound traffic on Saxon Boulevard was being diverted to Threadgill Place at the time of this report, according to the release.
