In a crash report, troopers said the SUV was stopped facing east on Bridges Road at the intersection of County Road 33.

However, the SUV drove into the intersection, directly into the path of the oncoming dump truck, the report states.

The truck crashed into the right side of the SUV, causing both vehicles to run off the roadway and into the treeline on the highway’s shoulder, according to the report.

As a result, the SUV’s driver — a 47-year-old Grand Island man — was killed, troopers said.

Both of the SUV’s passengers — a 35-year-old Longwood woman and a 32-year-old Orlando woman — also died at the scene, the report says.

The dump truck’s driver was not taken to the hospital and remained at the scene, investigators added.

The crash remains under investigation.
