Wrecks in Marion County cause major traffic delays

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Multiple crashes involving 24 vehicles caused major traffic delays Sunday on Interstate 75 in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crashes happened around 4:09 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near mile marker 364.

According to a crash report, 24 vehicles were involved in “seven to eight” separate crashes.

Troopers said there were no serious injuries reported, but four people were taken to hospitals.
